On April 23rd 2017, the PTNA Piano Teachers' Seminar vol.50 will be held in Tokyo. The 1st session will be 20 min presentations by 7 piano teachers; "How to choose and use education materials?" The 2nd session will invite Takao Ouchi as a lecturer. Based on rich experience as a career advisor in the Musashino Academia Musicae, he will talk about what students can learn in music colleges, and their career possibilities after graduation. He is the author of books on the same theme. Seikoh Fukuda, CEO of PTNA, will also talk about their good personalities and capabilities as working colleagues. In the latter half of the 2nd session, 3 graduates from music colleges (two of them are the representatives of PTNA Stations) will discuss about their career choices and current status.
The last session will be a dialogue with Kei Ito, pianist and professor of the Tokyo University of Fine Arts and Music. Arisa Iida, music writer, will ask about her lessons filled with creativity and affection toward students and music.
In between the afternoon sessions, the awarding ceremony will be held for the recipients of the PTNA Teachers' Prize, and for those who completed all the Teachers' License programs.
The day before, on April 22nd, a special event will be held which corresponds to the Teachers' License Program. 17 teachers will provide 10-15 min demonstration lessons. In the evening, Shohei Sekimoto (4th prize winner of the Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw in 2005) will give a recital.
