9 Selected Candidates will Challenge Yasuko Fukuda Scholarship Audition

Yasuko Fukuda Scholarship Foundation has announced the 9 selected candidates for the upcoming audition in August. This year, 33 young talented pianists under 18 applied to the document screening, and 9 of them was chosen for the audition. The audition will be held in the end of August, inviting 3 international jury members who will give lessons to each of them and observe the final concert. The jury member will be Prof.Jan G. Jiracek von Arnim, Prof.Mark Lewin and Prof.Stanislav Loudenitch. And here is the 9 candidates; Shion Ota, Yukine Kuroki, Sogo Sawada, Hidesumi Tanaka, Yuka Nagasawa, Kyoshiro Hirama, Yasuko Furumi, Yui Mikami, Masato Watanabe.
Yasuko Fukuda Scholarship Audition was inaugurated in 2003 to discover and nurture the young talents under 18. The Yasuko Fukuda prize winner will receive 1 million yen which should be used to study or play abroad. Other scholarship recipients will also be entitled to have opportunities to take special lessons and masterclass in Tokyo by international guest professors.
