Music Created and Developed by the Dialogue Between Teacher and Students
Necessity is the mother of invention; A piano teacher and composer Miho ABE, frequently compose music for her students in order to fit in their needs of technical challenges and exploration of expressions. Her music is, so to speak, created and even developed by the dialogues between teacher and students.
She is also the representative of Shiroi Station, one of the administrative offices of STEP, and will organize STEP event next February. Prior to this concert-style evaluation event, some of the participants who will play her compositions can take lessons from her. (photo: staff member of the Shiroi Station)
Some of her music have been already chosen as the required repertoires at PTNA Piano Competition in 2008, 2009 and 2010. You can read further about her and colleagues, and the project that PTNA is doing to promote Japanese compositions.
