Message from CEO and Secretary
First, we would like to express deep condolences to the people who suffer from the huge earthquake in northeastern Japan on March 11th. It is reported that aftermaths of the earthquake such as tsunami, explosions at nuclear power plants, shortage of foods and energy supply, are pervading in surrounding areas.
We greatly appreciate the generosity of our members who wish to offer donations through PTNA to the victims of this disaster. For instance, STEP was held at Koshien (Hyogo pref.) on the following day of the earthquake, where administrators and participants immediately made contributions. This area was seriously damaged by the Great Hanshin Earthquake in 1995. Other branch offices like Kochi, Nagoya, Osaka Tsubasa(Station) manifested their will to make donations through PTNA. We are proud of ourselves to have those benevolent people with us.
Now we are considering how to share the charity in an effective way. After the great earthquake in 1995, we gathered contributions and sent them to individual members who suffered or lost their families. This is one of the significant ways of assistance. This time we try to seek for other measures, more effective, fair and widespread. Concerts would also be a great encouragement. But considering the fact that there are a number of people who are still missing, suffering, being on the verge of survival, we realized that the delivery of necessities and energy supply should be given highest priority.
In this regards, PTNA decided to introduce collective information of contacts which gathers online donations. We hope it would help larger number of people, and also wish 13,000 PTNA members would do whatever they can do for supporting those suffered.
Thank you.
Seikoh Fukuda
