The 33rd PTNA Piano Competition, began in the end of June, is now on the process of 2nd rounds.
In the special grade (no age limit), 7 contestants were chosen to be semi-finalists and will give solo recitals on August 20th. Please find their name and repertoires below. (-> listen performances in 2nd round)

Repertoires should be between 45-55 min, except one of two Japanese compositions, that of Yachimura or Suzuki. Scores were published by Kawai last March. ( ->see VTR of past Japanese compositions)

After chosen to be finalists, contestants will play concerti(*) with Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra (cond. Chikara Iwamura) on August 23rd. Final result will be announced in the following day, 24th, at the awarding ceremony.
