On May 10th, PTNA demonstration session for teaching was held in Showa College of Music. Each of 26 experienced piano teachers showed 10-15 min teaching demonstration to young pianists who had been selected by open applications.

 This style is prescribed for PTNA Teaching Examination third category, which is required to achieve the final certificate. In the real situation, examinees are asked to teach students within the restricted time, 10 min for elementary and intermediate levels, and 15 min for advanced level. Under this circumstance, teachers are obliged to be concentrated and speak out everything they discover. It should be tough and demanding, but an experienced teacher told that the daily lessons are more or less the same, and that it continues almost 7 hours a day.
