5.Set Works by Japanese Composers
PTNA has been adopting works by Japanese composers for one of the requirement repertoire in the PTNA Piano Competition since the 11th competition. This system is intended to promote the activities of Japanese composers, and help the interaction between composers, pianists and piano teachers.
*Application Requirements
| - | Free style. Must be an unpublished work. |
| - | Must be written in a music score. |
| - | Music must be matched with the level of each grade. The level of the work should be musically and technically considered for each grade. Extended technique (i.e. plucking piano strings, using metal slides, etc.) is not permitted. |
【Solo】
・Ａ２ grade（under elementary school） ／（performance time）30-40 seconds
・Ａ１ grade（under third grade）／ 35-45 seconds
・Ｂ grade（under fifth grade）／ 45 seconds-１minute
・Ｃ grade（under seventh grade）／ １minute 30 seconds-１minute 45 seconds
・Ｄ grade（under ninth grade）／ ２minutes
・Ｅ grade（under eleventh grade）／ ３minutes
・Ｆ grade（under college）／ ３minutes
・Superior grade（no age limit）／ ４minutes
※Ｇ grade does not have required elements.
【Duo】
・Four Hands- Primary A（under fifth grade） ／（performance time）40 sec-１minute
・Four Hands- Primary B（no age limit）／ １min-１min 40 seconds
・Four Hands- Intermediate (no age limit) ／２min-２min 30 seconds
・Four Hands- Advanced（no age limit）／ ３min-４min
